Outside Loan Originator (Mortgage Lending)

What you will do

• Source mortgage leads and build referral relationships with real estate agents and other partners.
• Analyze local loan markets and develop networks to identify prospective borrowers.
• Market mortgage products and explain available loan types, credit options, terms, and services.
• Meet with applicants, complete loan applications, collect documentation, and communicate additional requirements.
• Evaluate applicants’ financial status, credit, and property information to determine loan feasibility.
• Coordinate with processing and underwriting teams to resolve application issues and handle customer requests or complaints.

Requirements

• NMLS license required under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.
• Experience or knowledge of retail mortgage products, policies, underwriting, procedures, documentation, and systems.
• Experience proactively soliciting new business.
• Knowledge of mortgage products and programs, with strong analytical skills for evaluating credit requests and market trends.
• Advanced communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
