Electronics Engineer (Nuclear)

Location: Wimborne, UK. Security contractual compliance requires incumbents to be sole British Nationals.

A global engineering and design manufacturing business developing sensors, instrumentation, and control solutions for heavily regulated and mission-critical applications, including nuclear, aerospace, and oil and gas.

What you will do

• Support customer discussions to define solutions based on cost, timescale, and ease of implementation.
• Analyze existing equipment and legacy designs to establish replacement or refurbishment requirements.
• Carry out electronics design and development within the area of competence.
• Liaise with suppliers on the supply and support of third-party equipment.
• Support equipment installation and commissioning at customer sites.
• Produce technical reports explaining the preferred course of action after engineering analysis.

Requirements

• Experience designing or maintaining electronic or electrical equipment, preferably in a regulated industry.
• Degree in Electronics Engineering or demonstrable equivalent industry experience.
• Practical ability in electrical work and analogue and digital electronics using conventional logic families and programmable logic.
• Technical qualifications in electrical or electronic design, instrumentation, or control.
• Effective oral and written communication skills within a peer group and with managers or team leaders.
• Sole British National status is required for security contractual compliance.
