Systems Engineer (Nuclear)

What you will do

• Support safety and systems engineering activities across projects.
• Draft and estimate systems engineering work for bids.
• Apply appropriate systems engineering practices, processes, standards, and methodologies.
• Generate, maintain, review, and release formal systems documentation.
• Use systems engineering tools for requirements management and design modelling.
• Represent systems engineering activities to project and customer stakeholders, while advising less-experienced team members.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, preferably electrical or electronic engineering.
• Experience in safety or systems engineering, systems design, and a safety-regulated industry.
• Knowledge of safety system design according to IEC 61508 or similar standards, including IEC 61513 and IEC 61226.
• Good knowledge of systems engineering processes, standards, and methodologies, including IEC 15288 and UML.
• Good knowledge of DOORS for requirements management.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or progress toward membership of a relevant institution, is advantageous.
