Senior Solutions Architect (Azure)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada. The proportion of on-site and remote work will be discussed during the interview. Candidates must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and may need a valid work or study permit.

What you will do

• Design and implement infrastructure solutions for Technology Operations and Application Development projects.
• Select and size platforms, and create data management, disaster recovery, high availability, migration, and infrastructure designs.
• Integrate distinct products to create the infrastructure required for application deployment.
• Partner with architecture groups, platform managers, Information Security, Risk Management, engineering teams, business partners, and technology vendors.
• Support project implementations and act as a focal point for escalations involving major technical issues.
• Create proposals, infrastructure cost estimates, design estimates, and application integration consultations.

Requirements

• At least five years of related infrastructure experience and a university degree.
• Experience across cloud, Windows, UNIX/Solaris, Red Hat Linux, databases, systems management, security, networks, hardware, storage, and system utilities.
• Knowledge of application platforms such as J2EE and .NET.
• Experience with BI products such as Cognos, SAS, and Informatica.
• Critical thinking, ownership, decision-making, and the ability to lead technical work and influence partners.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada at the specified location; a valid work or study permit may be required.
