Solutions Architect (Microsoft)

Location: New Brunswick, Canada; hybrid or remote work arrangements available. Applicants must have resided in Canada for at least five years and hold Canadian Permanent Resident or Citizenship Status.

Salary: CAD $88,158–$110,197 per year, plus eligibility for performance-based incentive programs.

What you will do

• Define IT solution strategies aligned with long-term business objectives and enterprise infrastructure direction.
• Design, plan, and implement infrastructure technologies and major system enhancements across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Own the Infrastructure Applications Management process, maintaining architecture designs, roadmaps, runbooks, policies, procedures, and support documentation.
• Collaborate with business units, architects, application teams, vendors, security, and operations on complex enterprise solutions.
• Evaluate release, deployment, lifecycle, availability, reliability, maintainability, and serviceability practices.
• Present emerging technology recommendations to senior leadership, promote automation and standardization, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in a relevant IT role, including 5+ years supporting Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server, and email solutions such as Exchange Server, Exchange Online, and Proofpoint.
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating on-premises and cloud solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 core services, PaaS offerings, Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, enterprise systems, and software engineering processes.
• English spoken and written proficiency required; French is considered an asset.
• Reliability Status Clearance at Enhanced Level B is required, including fingerprinting, criminal record and credit checks.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering large-scale IT solution deployments and developing strategic solution architecture plans.
• Background in system administration, software development, or IT operations with development experience.
• Knowledge of ITIL and IT Service Management frameworks.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert, Scrum Master, or Lean Six Sigma.
