Senior Data Center Facilities Specialist

Location: Aurora, IL, United States; onsite 24/7/365 availability required

What you will do

• Complete assigned operations and maintenance activities for data center and other assigned facility spaces.
• Use and teach others to use the computerized maintenance management system to track preventive and reactive maintenance, work orders, and labor hours.
• Apply SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and MMRs during site operations and maintenance.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors to complete maintenance and project work safely and effectively.
• Respond to building system alarms, protect the critical load, minimize equipment damage, and participate in root cause analysis.
• Perform critical switching, lockout/tagout, safe work-area setup, troubleshooting, and emergency corrective maintenance.

Requirements

• Journeyman-level electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R skills, acquired through an associate degree, technical training, or facility maintenance experience.
• 7–10 years of experience in Tier 2, Tier 3, or Tier 4 data centers, operations and maintenance, or building engineering.
• Knowledge of work order control procedures and computerized maintenance management systems.
• Experience managing subcontractor and vendor contracts, key performance indicators, capacity planning, and reporting.
• Ability to use hand tools, test equipment, personal computers, Microsoft Word and Excel, and troubleshoot systems through equipment and system interfaces.
• Must be available for onsite 24/7/365 work, emergency corrective maintenance, and extended hours when required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Visio and AutoCAD.
• HVAC certification or journeyman/master electrician license.
