Data Engineer (Python/SQL)

Location: US - TX - Home Office

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines, ETL workflows, and software solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, AI engineers, business stakeholders, and solution architects.
• Transform raw operational data into reusable analytics assets using modern data platforms.
• Establish data quality, version control, deployment, documentation, and troubleshooting practices.
• Support software design, development environments, testing frameworks, and continuous improvements.
• Help develop and execute a long-term data platform architecture strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar data engineering role.
• 5+ years of experience using Python and SQL.
• Intermediate proficiency with cloud computing, PaaS, DevOps, systems design, ORM frameworks, and Test-Driven Development.
• Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to travel 10%.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience using C# and/or Java.
