Data Engineer (Python/SQL)

Salary: $112,597.33 - $152,810.66 a year

What you will do

• Develop end-to-end data pipelines to store, manage, and provision data to consumers.
• Write performant and reliable code for data extraction and processing.
• Implement continuous process automation for data ingest.
• Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team following lean-agile engineering principles.
• Implement and document complex requirements using API-first design and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with cross-functional teams including UX researchers, designers, and product managers.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• 7+ years of IT experience in designing and managing complex data sets and models.
• Proficiency in ETL development and data manipulation using Python, R, SQL, or SAS.
• Strong knowledge of big data analysis, storage tools, and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Extensive experience with Python.
• Experience creating and consuming APIs.
• Knowledge of DHS standards.
• Ability to develop visualizations in Tableau or PowerBI.
• Experience with Shell scripting on Linux.
