TL;DR
Logistics & Expediting Manager (Heavy Industrial Data Center Infrastructure): Managing inbound logistics, heavy-haul transportation, vendor expediting, and delivery scheduling for transformers, switchgear, generators, chillers, and other critical data center equipment with an accent on critical-path shipments, factory milestones, and site coordination. Focus on planning complex heavy-haul routes, protecting OEM ship dates, resolving damaged or delayed loads, and aligning deliveries with crane and installation schedules.
Location: St. Francisville, Louisiana, United States; full-time on site

What you will do
- Own inbound logistics plans for transformers, switchgear, generators, chillers, CDUs, UPS systems, and other major equipment.
- Plan heavy-haul routing, permits, escorts, bridge and road studies, rigging interfaces, and site delivery windows.
- Track factory production milestones, coordinate factory visits and FAT logistics, and protect critical-path ship dates.
- Select and manage freight forwarders, carriers, and heavy-haul specialists, including freight terms, insurance, customs brokerage, and claims.
- Coordinate rolling delivery schedules with the Materials Manager, superintendents, and planner/scheduler against installation needs and site constraints.
- Resolve shipping damage, shortages, mis-deliveries, and storage-in-transit issues while reporting risks and building a logistics playbook.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in project logistics, traffic, or expediting for major capital projects in data centers, power generation, oil and gas, or heavy industry.
- Hands-on heavy-haul experience with permits, routing studies, escorts, and rigging interfaces for 100,000–500,000+ lb loads.
- Strong vendor-expediting experience, including factory milestone tracking, FAT logistics, and OEM accountability for ship dates.
- Knowledge of Incoterms, carrier contracts, cargo insurance, and freight claims.
- Strong scheduling skills and experience working against a P6-driven need-date list.
- Proficiency with logistics tracking tools and Excel; ERP experience is beneficial.
