Senior Specialist, Logistics & Customs Compliance (Automotive Supply Chain): Managing customs compliance, transportation, receiving, shipping, inventory, and warehouse operations for intelligent electric vehicles and related equipment with an accent on U.S. customs regulations, trade documentation, and cost-effective movement of materials. Focus on HTS classification, broker and carrier management, resolving clearance and inventory discrepancies, and coordinating logistics across manufacturing, purchasing, quality, finance, and legal teams.

What you will do
- Manage customs compliance for U.S. and international imports and exports, including sanctions, export controls, regulatory updates, and audit-ready records.
- Own HTS classification, country-of-origin determinations, valuation, ISF filings, commercial invoices, and entry summaries.
- Plan domestic and international transportation across parcel, freight, air, ocean, rail, and vehicle haulage.
- Manage customs brokers, carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL/4PL providers, including sourcing, rate negotiation, and performance tracking.
- Oversee receiving, inspection, packing, labeling, outbound fulfillment, inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and warehouse standards.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Legal while reporting compliance, cost, and delivery KPIs.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in customs compliance, logistics, or warehouse operations, preferably in automotive, manufacturing, or high-tech environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, international trade, logistics, business administration, or a related field; equivalent experience is considered.
- Knowledge of U.S. customs regulations, HTS, ISF, Incoterms, and customs-entry processes.
- Proficiency with SAP or other ERP, WMS, or TMS systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Certified Customs Specialist or U.S. Licensed Customs Broker credentials.
- Experience with lithium batteries, hazardous materials, or specialized and oversized transportation.
- Experience leading teams, building processes, or delivering duty-savings initiatives.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain it.
