Procurement Specialist (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Execute buyer responsibilities with limited oversight from the Project Manager or Materials Manager.
• Source and qualify new suppliers and build relationships with existing suppliers.
• Request quotes and initiate purchase orders for tooling, equipment, products, components, and services.
• Track cost estimates, quotes, changes, order status, and delivery dates, keeping project stakeholders informed.
• Facilitate design-for-manufacturing reviews between design engineers and suppliers.
• Support completion of design-control documentation and quality requirements, including PPAP activities.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a buyer or in an equivalent role.
• Sound knowledge of supply chain management principles.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods.
• Good numeracy and digital literacy.
• Ability to mentor and train entry-level buyers.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or an equivalent field is preferred.
