Associate Project Development (Renewable Energy): Managing and supporting the development of utility-scale solar, wind, and storage projects in the Western US with an accent on project siting, permitting, and interconnection. Focus on navigating complex regulatory pathways, managing land campaigns, and coordinating EPC and financing processes to bring projects to commercial operation.
Location: Hybrid; Must be based near one of the offices in San Francisco, San Diego, Scottsdale, Houston, Denver, or Princeton
Salary: $120,000 β $160,000 USD

What you will do
- Manage large-scale renewable projects from initial proposal and siting through permitting, design, financing, and handover to construction.
- Identify and implement creative development approaches to reduce permitting risks and optimize project value.
- Perform due diligence on development-stage projects and portfolio acquisitions.
- Collaborate with Land Acquisition and Engineering teams to secure site control and evaluate technical constraints.
- Support negotiation of critical contracts, including PPAs, GIAs, Turbine Supply Agreements, and EPC contracts.
- Create and manage project budgets and schedules, navigating internal investment decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, economics, finance, environmental science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in U.S. renewable energy project development (utility-scale solar and/or wind).
- Competence in land development, including landowner negotiation, title resolution, and GIS.
- Ability to travel more than 25% within the West Region.
- Clearway will not sponsor non-immigrant visas (H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.).
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in business, finance, law, environmental science, or public policy.
- Knowledge of CAISO and WECC power and transmission markets.
- Experience with battery energy storage projects.
