Location: San Francisco, California, United States; hybrid work with office collaboration typically on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Travel to projects across Clearway's West Region is required more than 25% of the time. Employment authorization sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
Salary: $120,000–$160,000 USD annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual cash bonus.

What you will do
- Develop and manage utility-scale renewable energy projects from proposal and siting through permitting, design, interconnection, contracting, financing, and construction handover.
- Evaluate development-stage projects and portfolio acquisitions through siting, permitting, interconnection, power marketing, and commercial metrics.
- Coordinate land campaigns, stakeholder networks, site control, surveys, GIS, and real estate activities.
- Work with engineering teams and consultants on site layouts, technology options, schedules, interconnection applications, and transmission studies.
- Support negotiation and diligence of PPAs, GIAs, turbine supply agreements, EPC contracts, and other project agreements.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, stage-gate reviews, investment materials, financing diligence, and power offtake processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, economics, finance, environmental science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of U.S. renewable energy industry experience with direct utility-scale solar and/or wind project development experience across the full lifecycle.
- Experience with permitting, landowner engagement, land contracts, title resolution, subdivision, agricultural land and water restrictions, ALTA surveys, GIS, and related real estate activities.
- Experience managing project schedules and budgets and understanding commercial and financial project value drivers.
- Ability to navigate complex permitting pathways for energy projects in the western United States.
- Must already have employment authorization in the United States; visa or employment sponsorship is unavailable.
Nice to have
- Advanced study in business, finance, law, environmental science, or public policy.
- Knowledge of governmental mandates, environmental regulations, and market signals affecting renewable development in the West Region.
- Battery storage experience.
- Experience with CAISO and/or WECC power and transmission markets.
