Senior Product Manager (Bioprocessing)

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $135,000–$209,000 annual base salary, plus eligible bonus, commission, and equity opportunities.

What you will do

• Define and execute product roadmaps for affinity ligands and chromatography resins based on market trends and customer needs.
• Analyze markets, engage key opinion leaders, and develop business cases for new resin formats, ligand technologies, and application-specific solutions.
• Manage products from concept and development through launch, post-market optimization, and phase-out.
• Collaborate with R&D and process development teams to ensure performance, scalability, and GMP/ISO compliance.
• Develop go-to-market strategies, pricing, positioning, promotional campaigns, technical content, and training with marketing and sales.
• Support customer engagements and industry events while coordinating with quality, supply chain, manufacturing, regulatory, and commercial teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of product management experience in life sciences, chromatography, purification technologies, or bioprocessing.
• 2–3+ years of direct-report management experience.
• Understanding of chromatography and downstream processing workflows and experience in regulated environments such as GMP or ISO 9001.
• Strong analytical, strategic, communication, leadership, customer-facing, and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio; willingness to travel globally up to 25%.
