Senior Manager, Communications

What you will do

• Develop and execute Group communications positioning across multiple Sub-Saharan African markets.
• Build media pitches, press statements, leadership speeches, and other external communications under time pressure.
• Maintain media relationships, secure coverage, and turn coverage data into actionable insights on sentiment and share of voice.
• Partner with country Managing Directors and senior stakeholders to align local execution with Group messaging.
• Work with People/HR teams on internal communications, culture, organisational change, and employee narratives.
• Manage agencies, suppliers, purchase orders, invoices, budgets, procurement, and audit-ready finance administration.

Requirements

• Established, active media relationships across Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Demonstrated success securing media coverage and analysing coverage data.
• Experience managing agencies, suppliers, procurement, purchase orders, spend tracking, and budgets end-to-end.
• Experience partnering with HR/People teams on internal communications, culture, and change narratives.
• Experience handling crisis and issues management with government and public stakeholders in multi-market environments.
• Ability to combine strategic communications leadership with detailed operational administration across multiple time zones.
