Corporate Communications Media Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Build relationships with corporate, City, business, trade, sustainability, regional, national, and broadcast media.
• Develop and deliver media relations programmes supporting financial results, corporate announcements, leadership profiles, and strategic campaigns.
• Prepare press releases, media briefings, Q&A materials, and messaging for senior spokespeople.
• Manage media enquiries, reputational risks, corporate issues, political developments, regulatory topics, and sustainability-related communications.
• Represent M&G at press briefings and external events, monitor coverage, and evaluate campaign performance.
• Govern the Group’s media policy and training standards while testing AI tools and agents to improve team efficiency and output.

Requirements

• Experience raising an organisation’s corporate profile through communications strategies and campaigns.
• Experience in a highly regulated sector; financial services experience and knowledge of the UK financial-services sector are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of corporate, City, business, and sustainability media, as well as UK politics and public policy.
• Experience managing media relations, briefing journalists, and handling complex or potentially negative media issues.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, organisational, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Understanding of AI implementation in media relations and media measurement and evaluation techniques.

• Previous financial calendar and financial reporting experience.
