Director, Corporate Development (Bioprocessing)

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $208,000–$299,000 annual base salary, plus eligible bonus, commission, and equity opportunities.

What you will do

• Evaluate and execute mergers and acquisitions, licensing transactions, and strategic partnerships.
• Support multi-year business strategy development through growth assessments, financial analysis, and forecasting.
• Lead the framework for evaluating partnership, licensing, and M&A opportunities across the portfolio.
• Manage cross-functional teams through multiple simultaneous due diligence processes and incorporate findings into deal assessments and transaction terms.
• Own detailed transaction financial analysis in partnership with Finance, Financial Accounting, and Legal advisors.
• Lead negotiations, transaction structuring, definitive agreement drafting, and post-transaction integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in business development, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience executing M&A and licensing transactions in a public company environment.
• Strong financial and analytical skills, including valuation, deal modeling, and ROI analysis.
• Ability to assess and apply digital, AI, and related technology companies, tools, and services.
• Experience in biopharma, bioprocessing, life sciences, or medtech M&A is preferred.
