HR Business Partner (Aerospace and Defense)

Location: Onsite in Blacksburg, Virginia, United States

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives across multiple sites and business units.
• Advise and influence business leaders on organizational, people, and workforce decisions.
• Lead organizational development, organizational design, and change management initiatives.
• Own talent management processes, including succession planning, performance management, and talent pipeline development.
• Manage HR metrics, analytics, and reporting to support data-driven decisions.
• Partner with the Strategic HRBP, HR Centers of Excellence, and business management teams on HR programs and global initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive HR experience, including 3 or more years as an HR Business Partner.
• Experience supporting multiple sites or business units and working in a matrixed environment.
• Strong leadership advisory, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Deep understanding of U.S. employment law and HR best practices.
• Onsite work in Blacksburg, Virginia and access to U.S. export-controlled information are required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in HR, Business, or a related discipline.
• Global HR experience and knowledge of international employment practices.
• People management experience.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing.
• HR certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR.
