M&T Bank is a financial institution hiring an HR business partner for its Technology and Data business lines.

What you will do

• Provide strategic HR support, coaching, and consultation to senior and mid-level managers on talent, people management, and career development.
• Lead human capital plans and annual people programs, including employee engagement, talent reviews, performance management, and compensation cycles.
• Support organizational change through communication planning, employee engagement initiatives, organizational design, and transformation workstreams.
• Use HR system information, analytics, and reporting to provide data-driven recommendations.
• Support workforce planning and the alignment of workforce capabilities and organizational structures with business goals.
• Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and internal partners such as Technology and Finance while maintaining risk and regulatory controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in Human Resources or relevant business roles; alternatively, 9 years of combined higher education and work experience including at least 5 years in HR or relevant business roles.
• Proficiency with relevant software and HR analytics tools.
• Experience influencing others and building strong relationships with cross-functional partners and leaders.
• Ability to support talent management needs across a business line or related businesses.
• Ability to follow risk, regulatory, and internal control standards.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification.
• Experience with HR systems and report generation.
• Knowledge of the supported business lines.
