Channel Systems Engineer (Networking)

Location: Remote within Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, or Connecticut; 50% or more travel required. Candidates may relocate at their own expense.

What you will do

• Develop and enable RUCKUS channel partners across fourteen northeastern states.
• Lead technical demonstrations, proof-of-concept trials, presentations, and technical training for customers, partners, prospects, and events.
• Design and review network solutions, including RF planning, bills of material, routing, switching, and wireless deployments.
• Act as a technical advisor, differentiating and competitively positioning RUCKUS solutions.
• Support territory and partner account managers with opportunity engagement, solution selling, account planning, and revenue growth.
• Troubleshoot complex network problems and identify improvement areas in customer network designs.

Requirements

• BS/BA or graduate degree in electrical engineering, networking engineering, information technology, management information systems, computer science, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of pre-sales or equivalent experience with routers, switches, and Wi-Fi technologies.
• Strong knowledge of network design, wireless troubleshooting, IP routing and switching, WAN/LAN configuration, RF design, WLAN security, and related technologies.
• Highly effective technical presentation, verbal, written communication, and complex-problem troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 7, predictive heat maps, wireless optimization, SASE, SD-WAN, RADIUS, Active Directory, virtualization, cloud services, and secure device onboarding.
• Working knowledge of Wi-Fi design tools such as Ekahau Survey/AI Pro and Hamina Network Planner.

Nice to have

• Networking certification such as CCNA, BPIPA, JNCIA, Cisco, Aruba, RUCKUS, or CWNA.
• Knowledge of DevOps, REST, or other common API programming.
• Experience with VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, Google Compute Engine, Azure, or AWS.
