Network Design Specialist (Mobile IP)

What you will do

• Define IP network designs for mobile core infrastructure in line with architecture, operational and security requirements.
• Produce high-level and low-level design documentation and define test requirements and strategies.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on solution delivery, technology roadmaps and network integration.
• Implement, test, validate, maintain and support physical and virtual network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switching and monitoring systems.
• Drive cloud and core infrastructure security, technology lifecycle planning and network health assessments.
• Provide technical consultancy, escalation support, knowledge transfer and mentoring to network engineering teams.

Requirements

• Experience with IP networking in a service provider environment.
• Experience in network implementation, delivery, configuration, design, integration, testing and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of network security, incident management, escalation management and issue resolution.
• Experience with vendor management and technical documentation.
• Ability to support network infrastructure maintenance, validation and ongoing operations.

Nice to have

• Mobile Core Network knowledge.
• Experience building collaborative business relationships and negotiating technical outcomes.
• Experience coaching and developing other team members.
