Refrigeration & HVAC Technician - 1st Shift

Location: Onsite in Devault, Pennsylvania, USA. The role requires regular work across production, refrigerated and frozen storage, warehouses, and outdoor areas, including cold environments and variable weather conditions. Flexible shifts, after-hours, weekend, and public holiday work may be required.

Salary: USD $31.00–$38.00 per hour, with potential eligibility for bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, clean, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, perform emergency repairs, and complete preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Maintain production equipment, automation systems, PLCs, exhaust systems, and pressure-dependent areas while completing work orders and maintenance records.
• Support production efficiency, maximize OEE, identify maintenance risks, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Provide technical direction and on-the-job training, operate power tools and powered industrial equipment, and perform sheet metal fabrication and installation.
• Follow OSHA, GMP, HACCP, SQF, food defense, safety, quality, and equipment-temperature requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience as an HVAC technician and willingness to continue HVAC education.
• Type 4 Universal EPA certification and a valid driver's license.
• Advanced understanding of air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, and air and water treatment system balancing.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication, TIG/MIG/stick welding, soldering, schematics, work plans, CMMS software, and electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Must be authorized to work for a U.S. employer; this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Knowledge or experience in a food or beverage manufacturing facility.
• Arc-flash training and OSHA knowledge.
