Advanced Manufacturing & Quality Engineer

Location: Bend, Oregon, USA; hybrid with 3 days onsite each week

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and sustain quality systems for Hydro Flask products across NPI and sustaining production.
• Partner with Design, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, contract manufacturers, and international suppliers from concept through launch.
• Define and validate Critical-to-Quality characteristics and provide Design for Excellence feedback.
• Develop DFMEAs, PFMEAs, control plans, inspection standards, and measurement systems.
• Lead PPAP submissions, supplier compliance, process capability validation, and documentation tracking across products and factories.
• Drive manufacturing improvements, corrective actions, tooling validation, supplier qualification, and ECR/ECO/ECN execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Quality Engineering.
• At least 3 years of manufacturing or quality engineering experience with high-volume consumer products.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing or product defects, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
• Knowledge of quality management systems, APQP/PPAP, SPC, MSA, capability studies, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with international cross-functional teams, change control systems, and direct collaboration with international suppliers.
• Authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with metals and plastics manufacturing processes.
• NPI experience across Manufacturing Build, Pilot, and Mass Production phases.
• Hands-on supplier PPAP experience, including PFMEAs, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, DOE, APQP, 8D, and Gage R&R.
• Supplier quality management and second-sourcing experience.
• Experience with suppliers in China and Southeast Asia.
