Workday Financial Systems Analyst (Workday Financials)

What you will do

• Configure, maintain, and improve Workday Financials across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Banking & Settlement.
• Design business process configurations, security roles, domain policies, reports, dashboards, and calculated fields.
• Manage integrations with Stripe, HubSpot, Pleo, Avalara, banks, payroll, and archiving systems.
• Lead unit, regression, and user acceptance testing for configuration changes, Workday releases, and new features.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Commercial, Data, and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable system solutions.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support, troubleshoot root causes, maintain documentation, and support module expansions and re-implementations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on Workday Financials configuration experience across GL, AP, and AR.
• Experience with the Workday business process framework and security configuration.
• Strong Workday reporting skills, including custom reports and calculated fields.
• Experience connecting SaaS business systems through APIs, integration patterns, and reliable data flows.
• Understanding of accounting concepts such as chart of accounts, period close, and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, including the ability to translate between technical and finance audiences.

Nice to have

• German proficiency.
• Workday Pro certification in Financials or adjacent modules.
• Experience with a full Workday implementation or re-implementation.
• Accounting degree, CPA, or equivalent finance qualification.
• Experience with SOX compliance, internal controls, BIRT, matrix reports, Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, or tenant management.
