Workday Financials Manager (Workday)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; compensation applies across CO, IL, OH, and MA. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, except qualified bilingual Japanese-English or Chinese-English candidates.

Salary: $110,000–$175,000 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical expert for Workday Financials and Professional Services Automation.
• Design, configure, maintain, and optimize scalable Workday products supporting finance and accounting functions.
• Lead technical activities across deployment projects from discovery and planning through implementation and support.
• Gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions while identifying risks, strategies, and options.
• Support product managers, product owners, functional SMEs, semi-annual release testing, and third-party support requests.
• Maintain implementation playbooks, design documentation, release notes, and support processes while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance/Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of related experience in enterprise application platforms, finance/accounting, or a combination of both.
• At least 3 years of technical experience with Workday administration, architecture, and application configuration.
• Advanced knowledge of Workday data structures, configuration, security models, and business processes.
• Deep Workday Financials knowledge across multiple modules, including at least two of Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and Professional Services Automation.
• Demonstrated implementation leadership, analytical and problem-solving ability, strong communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Nice to have

• Workday certification in Financial Management or Professional Services functional areas.
• Experience configuring and supporting Workday Adaptive Financial Planning.
• Bilingual Japanese-English or Chinese-English proficiency may qualify for an exception to the standard sponsorship restriction.
