Senior Workday Systems Analyst (Workday)

Location: Santa Clara, California, or remote within the United States. Remote employees must travel to headquarters twice per quarter based on business or team needs, and must work onsite in Santa Clara for the first two weeks of onboarding. Only applicants who meet the definition of a U.S. person under applicable export control laws may be eligible.

Salary: $115,000–$170,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of the Workday environment as the primary functional administrator and HCM subject matter expert.
• Configure and optimize Core HCM, organizations, staffing models, business processes, security, reports, calculated fields, validations, approvals, and notifications.
• Translate business needs into scalable, secure, documented Workday solutions in partnership with People Operations, Payroll, Finance, IT, Internal Audit, and business leaders.
• Lead release management, enhancements, implementations, testing, user acceptance testing, data conversion, cutover, deployment, and post-production stabilization.
• Build reports, dashboards, audits, reconciliations, and exception reporting to improve data quality and operational visibility.
• Support Workday integrations, access reviews, audits, SOX controls, data privacy, and governance requirements.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday HCM in a production environment.
• Deep expertise in Workday Core HCM, business processes, calculated fields, reporting, and multiple employee-lifecycle modules.
• Experience leading Workday releases, enhancements, testing, production deployments, and integrations.
• Strong understanding of HR processes, employee data, security, privacy, and data governance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to manage priorities, collaborate across functional and technical teams, and communicate clearly.

Nice to have

• Workday Pro accreditation or Workday partner certification.
• Advanced experience with Workday Security, Payroll, integrations, or reporting.
• Experience in a public company, SOX-controlled environment, or rapidly growing organization.
• Experience using automation or AI to improve HR systems, reporting, testing, or support.
