Scheduling Specialist Associate

Location: Work at Home - Children's Minnesota - Minneapolis Hospital; remote work with required travel to and onsite work at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.

Salary: $15.75–$20.90 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Schedule and pre-register patients for diagnostic procedures based on physician orders.
• Select accurate medical records to support patient safety.
• Provide procedure instructions and validate demographic and insurance information.
• Deliver patient service, process point-of-service collections, and provide financial counseling when appropriate.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and in accordance with applicable accommodations.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification required within nine months of hire.
• One to three years of work experience, including healthcare-related experience preferred.
• Experience with insurance companies and pre-authorizations required.
• Patient access experience, managed care or insurance knowledge, typing speed of at least 35 WPM, and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work with multiple computer systems and dual screens, multitask independently, and apply critical thinking.
