Manager, Power Steering (Automotive)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, or Novi, Michigan; 4–5 days per week in the office. Regular in-person meetings, company events, and occasional travel are required.

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the serial scheduling steering team and coordinate serial production planning activities.
• Develop serial planning control strategies with adjacent departments.
• Build and manage planning control processes, workflows, and new technology initiatives.
• Define and monitor departmental KPIs and specifications.
• Coordinate valuation requests and consolidate serial planning departments.
• Manage risk planning concepts and develop project management teams for new and serial production activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, economics engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in automotive production, including stable production processes and project steering operations.
• 5+ years of progressive experience building and managing planning teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work onsite 4–5 days per week in Charlotte, NC, or Novi, MI, with regular travel.
