Manager, Manufacturing Production Control (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Costa Mesa, California, United States; onsite manufacturing environment with time on the production floor

Annual base salary: $128,300–$222,300

What you will do

• Lead production control across production scheduling, CNC machine operations, and maintenance coordination.
• Manage schedulers, CNC maintenance technicians, machine operators, supervisors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop and communicate production schedules for race and commercial engine components.
• Administer ERP data, routings, work orders, delivery dates, and production traceability.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, planning, maintenance, and quality activities to resolve capacity constraints and improve workflow.
• Monitor 17 high-speed 5-axis CNC machines, robotic automation, OEE, uptime, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 7 years of experience in production control, manufacturing operations, or a related field, including 3 years managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with production scheduling, capacity planning, and ERP/MRP administration in high-precision manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, including 4-axis and 5-axis machining, tooling, and robotic automation.
• Experience with OEE tracking, metric-driven performance analysis, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
• Employment-based visa or other work authorization sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or equivalent ERP/MRP systems.
• Experience with TPM, Kaizen, and hirify.global Production System practices.
• Knowledge of machine capacity management, resource allocation, and throughput optimization.
• Strong project management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
