American commercial electric vehicle (EV) company developing a first-of-its-kind EV platform for medium-duty vehicles and hybrids.

What you will do

• Lead component and system-level validation testing of electric motors and drive units within the lab.
• Design and construct electrical control panels for automated test systems, including power distribution and safety interlocks.
• Develop and maintain automated test software using LabVIEW or other text-based programming environments.
• Architect electric motor dynamometers and HIL systems for development testing of advanced concept projects.
• Leverage data analysis and advanced methodologies to reproduce and characterize failures for rapid resolution.
• Document system designs, schematics, software logic, and test procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on validation testing and system integration.
• Demonstrated experience with NI hardware (PXIe-RT, cRIO, cDAQ) and coding with real-time and FPGA modules.
• Deep understanding of dynamometer operating principles for high-voltage EV powertrains.
• Proficiency in software development and scripting for automation.
• Ability to write drivers for NI-XNET (CAN/LIN), NI-VISA Serial, and TCP/IP protocols.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers.
