Senior Telecom Engineer (Oil and Gas)

What you will do

• Deliver the TSI/Telecoms Package and support the Telecoms Lead Engineer.
• Develop Telecoms Systems Specifications, scopes of work, bills of materials, and system block diagrams.
• Review PAGA and radio coverage studies, VSAT link calculations, fiber optic link budgets, and other telecoms studies.
• Prepare requisitions and perform technical bid evaluations for Telecoms Systems.
• Calculate telecoms power consumption, heat dissipation, and equipment weight.
• Resolve engineering comments with clients and coordinate systems interfaces with other disciplines and contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a Telecommunications focus.
• 10–12 years of experience in Telecoms Detailed Engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge of international regulations, codes, and standards affecting Telecoms Systems.
• Knowledge of telecoms studies and calculations, with proficiency in writing telecoms specifications.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from other disciplines, clients, and suppliers.
