Electronic Security Installation Superintendent – Southern Virginia (Electronic Security)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, USA; frequent onsite work at client construction sites with local travel within a two-hour driving distance and occasional remote travel.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary onsite contact for clients and the field point of contact for project managers.
• Lead installation superintendents, technicians, lead technicians, subcontractors, and other field staff across large and complex projects.
• Review drawings, matrices, BOMs, and site-readiness documentation to plan installation work and identify missing or incorrect requirements.
• Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and repair access control, CCTV, intercom, rack, enclosure, and head-end panel systems.
• Own project schedules, track labor and inventory, document milestones and issues, and maintain DIV28 quality-control requirements.
• Coordinate with project management, design engineering, contractors, subcontractors, and clients while addressing safety hazards and technical issues.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of related experience, including the administrative ability to manage daily project requirements.
• Knowledge of project drawings, matrices, BOM lists, SRDs, RFIs, redlines, hazard analyses, and related project documentation.
• Hands-on experience with access control, CCTV, intercom systems, device installation, head-end wiring, network interfaces, and camera adjustment.
• Experience with Genetec, Avigilon, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Honeywell, Software House, Bosch, or DMP systems.
• Clean driving record, valid driver’s license, ability to use a personal vehicle for reimbursed travel, and an active passport or ability to obtain one.
• Clean criminal record and eligibility to hold the security clearance or registration required by the local jurisdiction. Ability to work on construction sites, use ladders, wear PPE, and lift or move up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
• Lenel certification.
• Knowledge of mechanical retrofitting of door frames and gates for electric locking hardware and peripheral devices.
