Field Technology Specialist (Physical Security)

Location: International Falls, Minnesota, USA; field work with travel of approximately 85% of the time.

Salary: $23.00–$37.00 per hour; full-time, non-exempt.

What you will do

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems supporting physical security and IT infrastructure.
• Deploy cameras, access control devices, power supplies, biometric systems, locking hardware, and related equipment.
• Work with video and data cabling, hand and power tools, technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and CAD drawings.
• Evaluate system performance, provide quality assurance feedback, and support Windows environment hardening and configuration.
• Coordinate project materials and equipment, track hardware receipt, and support timely delivery of project deliverables.
• Work indoors and outdoors, including climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working at heights.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in low-voltage installation, security systems, or IT hardware deployment.
• Strong understanding of IP-based systems and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with video surveillance systems and low-voltage infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of basic electrical theory and ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, design plans, and CAD drawings.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain government-issued security clearances required.
• Readiness to travel approximately 85% of the time required.
