Electronic Security Systems Technician (Security Systems)

Location: Miami, Florida; candidates should be located within 50 miles of Miami. On-site electronic security systems installation and maintenance with up to 10% travel. Core business hours are 7:00 am–5:00 pm.

What you will do

• Install cabling and infrastructure, including EMT conduit, cable trays, cable, and fiber optics.
• Install CCTV IP cameras, access control systems, intrusion detection panels, and field devices according to installation design plans.
• Perform function tests and analyze installed security systems using electronic test instruments.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions, repair electronic equipment, and replace components or wiring.
• Dress and label cables and installed devices according to installation design plans.
• Provide guidance to a small team of EMT II technicians under project or program manager supervision.

Requirements

• Associate degree and 5 years of experience, or a high school diploma/GED with equivalent related training and experience.
• At least 4 years of practical experience maintaining and installing electronic security systems.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an extensive customer investigation and clearance.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and meet critical demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 8 feet, lift and carry 25–40 pounds, use hand and power tools, and perform extended overhead work.
