Senior Business Systems Analyst (Actuarial IT)

What you will do

• Partner with Actuarial, Finance, Reinsurance, and Technology stakeholders to analyze processes and translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.
• Lead requirements workshops and perform hands-on SQL-based analysis to validate business rules and reconcile actuarial and financial data.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on actuarial data platforms, AWS-based data solutions, system integrations, data quality, and data accessibility.
• Support Agile delivery through user stories, acceptance criteria, documentation, testing, and production support.
• Mentor Business Systems Analysts and improve business analysis and documentation standards.
• Use AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, documentation, data interpretation, and delivery productivity.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience supporting actuarial, finance, insurance, or other complex financial systems.
• Strong knowledge of annuity products, including Fixed Annuities, Fixed Indexed Annuities, reinsurance, liability data, and PGA-related processes.
• Advanced SQL and data analysis skills, preferably with AWS-based data modernization experience.
• Experience in Agile environments with JIRA, Confluence, and modern business analysis practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to mentor others and work independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
