Systems/Data Analyst

Location: Smithfield, RI, United States; hybrid work with 3 days per week from the office

Salary: $62,000–$72,000 gross annual base compensation

What you will do

• Analyze legacy systems, business processes, data models, application workflows, and system dependencies.
• Gather requirements through discovery sessions and translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
• Assess system integrations, data flows, APIs, batch processes, and downstream application impacts.
• Create requirements documents, process flows, use cases, data mappings, system diagrams, and gap analyses.
• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams on target-state solutions, migration approaches, and implementation risks.
• Support application modernization, platform migration, and legacy transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience analyzing legacy systems, system design, data flows, and downstream application integrations.
• Strong understanding of Sybase and SQL environments, including data analysis and data mapping.
• Experience with system integration assessment, application architectures, and complex multi-application environments.
• Knowledge of impact analysis, feasibility studies, gap analysis, process modeling, story mapping, and user acceptance testing.
• Ability to work with business and technology stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work from the Smithfield, Rhode Island office 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Exposure to microservices, APIs, cloud platforms, AWS, event-driven architectures, batch processing, and workflow automation.
• Experience supporting application modernization, platform migration, or legacy transformation initiatives.
