Business Systems Analyst (Health Insurance)

Location: Remote, based in Pennsylvania

What you will do

• Collaborate with customers, software engineers, architects, capability managers, and other stakeholders to capture capability needs.
• Create and maintain business visions, detailed requirements, client-specific documentation, and user interface designs.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle as part of Agile Scrum teams, including business analysis, testing, and other roles based on experience and project needs.
• Plan and support requirements testing through test scenarios, documentation, defect management, and analysis of customer impact.
• Conduct requirements walkthroughs and sprint reviews, communicate project status, enable vendor solutions, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Identify, document, and resolve risks, defects, and issues while ensuring required standards and approvals are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in IS/IT.
• Analytical, problem-solving, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Experience with SQL, Agile methodology, and Agile project management.
• Work from home in Pennsylvania is required.

Nice to have

• 1–3 years of experience with Lean/Six Sigma.
• 1–3 years of experience in the health insurance or healthcare industry.
• ITIL, TOGAF, Six Sigma, or PMP certification.
