Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration

Location: Walmart Supercenter, Sacramento, California, United States

Salary: $32.00–$64.00 per hour, with potential premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour and bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment and facility assets.
• Receive repair work orders through the work order management system and document completed activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test equipment and fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Use hand tools, power tools, digital tools, and testing equipment while completing required safety training.
• Perform work in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and Walmart refrigeration and HVAC safety requirements.

Requirements

• At least two years of commercial refrigeration and HVAC maintenance experience, or four years of related mechanical maintenance or construction experience; alternatively, vocational or technical HVAC/R certification with qualifying experience.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle record check, including specified commercial driving standards.
• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, use ladders, and work frequently at heights.

Nice to have

• Completion of a two-year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city or state of the job.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and office software.
