Facilities HVAC/Refrigeration Maintenance Tech III

Location: Onsite at the Normandale campus in Bloomington, Minnesota, United States. A-shift schedule: Monday–Wednesday and every other Thursday, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; occasional overtime, holidays, and emergency calls may be required.

Salary: $29.95–$38.93 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and installations for heating and air-conditioning equipment, including MAUs, RTUs, FCUs, boilers, pumps, and motors.
• Maintain and repair AHUs, VAVs, supply fans, exhaust systems, and air scrubbers.
• Operate and maintain building chillers and production refrigeration systems, including compressors, fans, coils, and piping.
• Use JCI/WME building controls to monitor systems, troubleshoot faults, and respond to alarms.
• Complete service requests and preventive maintenance records in the computerized maintenance management system, and perform minor plumbing repairs.
• Coordinate assigned work with leads, managers, project managers, engineers, contractors, and site personnel; participate in the Emergency Response Team.

Requirements

• HVAC certification plus at least two years of experience, or equivalent formal apprenticeship training in industrial HVAC operation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
• CFC certification.
• Boiler license, or willingness to obtain one within six months.
• Ability to work independently, at heights, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to distinguish between low- and high-voltage systems, organize and document work, follow procedures, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and respond to emergency calls, occasional overtime, and holidays.

Nice to have

• Experience with Johnson Controls or GE Controls.
• Experience with CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Associate degree or technical college training in HVAC.
