SEC Reporting Senior Analyst (US GAAP)

Salary: $100,885.60–$151,328.40 USD annual

What you will do

• Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings, including 10-Q and 10-K reports.
• Prepare and analyze US GAAP financial statements, management reports, and financial statement disclosures.
• Manage consolidations involving variable interest entities, intercompany eliminations, and cash flow statements.
• Research SEC and US GAAP guidance and implement new accounting standards.
• Analyze financial variances, prepare disclosure analytics and checklists, and resolve accounting issues.
• Partner with cross-functional and parent company teams and support external audits and regulatory reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical accounting, SEC reporting, public accounting, or relevant professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, including complex transactions and accounting treatments.
• Strong analytical, research, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Experience in public accounting or SEC reporting in the insurance industry is preferred; CPA and/or FLMI designation is preferred or may be in progress.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workiva (Wdesk).
• Familiarity with Oracle, Essbase, or Hyperion.
