TL;DR
Reporting & Consolidations Manager (SEC Reporting/Technical Accounting): Managing SEC filings and the global consolidation process with an accent on financial statement preparation, iXBRL tagging, and U.S. GAAP compliance. Focus on coordinating auditor and stakeholder reviews, researching FASB and SEC requirements, and improving reporting processes.

Location: Irvine, California, United States; primarily office-based. Some travel of approximately 10% is required.

Salary: $115,000–$160,000 annually plus benefits and eligibility for up to a 10% annual bonus.

The finance organization manages SEC reporting, global consolidation, technical accounting, and financial close activities.

What you will do

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute SEC reporting processes, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, 11-K, S-8, SD, Schedule 13-G, and Section 16 filings.
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, and iXBRL tagging.
  • Maintain reporting calendars, track milestones, and coordinate internal and external reviews of filing deliverables.
  • Research FASB and SEC accounting pronouncements and ensure appropriate disclosures in public filings.
  • Prepare technical accounting research and memos for transactions, accounting standards, and internal policies.
  • Partner with FP&A, legal, treasury, investor relations, general ledger teams, external auditors, and global business teams; support monthly close and ad hoc activities.

Requirements

  • CPA or equivalent qualification and a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of technical accounting and financial reporting experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience preparing and filing SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 11-K, 8-K, and Section 16 filings.
  • Working knowledge of Workiva, iXBRL tagging, SEC reporting requirements, and U.S. GAAP.
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal communication, multitasking, and collaboration skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills, with the ability to interact professionally with senior management and finance staff.

  • Advanced Workiva proficiency and hands-on iXBRL tagging experience.
  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and continuously improving processes.
