TL;DR
Senior Associate, Consolidation & External Reporting (Financial Reporting): Supporting the consolidation of General Atlantic’s parent entity and subsidiaries and preparing consolidated financial statements with an accent on U.S. GAAP, intercompany eliminations, non-controlling interests, and disclosure accuracy. Focus on executing complex multi-entity close cycles, integrating acquired businesses into the reporting framework, and coordinating audits and cross-functional reporting requirements.

Location: New York - Park Avenue; onsite role

Salary: $130,000–$180,000 base salary per year, plus potential annual discretionary bonuses and long-term incentive programs for eligible employees.

What you will do

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of the parent entity, subsidiaries, joint ventures, and consolidated investment vehicles.
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, footnotes, disclosures, cash flows, shareholders’ equity statements, and management reporting.
  • Perform intercompany eliminations, non-controlling interest accounting, equity method investment accounting, and equity compensation analysis.
  • Support audits and reviews by preparing PBC deliverables, coordinating walkthroughs, and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Maintain internal controls and support integration of acquired businesses into the consolidation and reporting framework.
  • Coordinate reporting deadlines across Finance, Legal, HR, Tax, FP&A, Valuation, and business teams, and prepare materials for the CAO and CFO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required or actively pursued.
  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably including Big Four audit or advisory and relevant industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience applying it in complex, multi-entity organizations.
  • Experience with consolidations involving intercompany eliminations, non-controlling interests, or variable interest entities.
  • Knowledge of alternative asset management or broader financial services.
  • Strong organization, communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing deadlines.

Nice to have

  • Public company reporting, financial statement preparation, and footnote disclosure experience.
  • Experience documenting internal controls and working with Workday Financials, Workiva, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with investment company accounting under ASC 946, carried interest, management fee revenue recognition, and multi-jurisdictional consolidation.
