Location: San Francisco, United States. Hybrid work model with required in-office attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; remote placement will not be considered. Local Pacific Time working hours are required, with flexibility across time zones when necessary. Relocation is offered based on the actual job level.
Salary: $109,000–$128,000 annual base salary, with potential equity awards and an annual bonus.

What you will do
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual SEC filings, including financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A.
- Research complex accounting matters and prepare technical accounting memoranda for significant or non-routine transactions.
- Evaluate the accounting impact of new products, strategic initiatives, financing transactions, and other business activities.
- Monitor emerging accounting standards and SEC rulemaking and support new accounting and disclosure requirements.
- Improve financial reporting processes, controls, and disclosures, including responsible use of AI and automation.
- Coordinate external audits and quarterly reviews, support SOX controls, and complete finance transformation projects.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in SEC reporting, technical accounting, public accounting, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial statement preparation.
- Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, prioritization, and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across Finance and business teams, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of reporting and control improvements.
- Ability to use AI thoughtfully for research, analysis, drafting, and problem solving while protecting data sensitivity and applying human judgment.
Nice to have
- Active CPA license.
- Experience preparing SEC filings using Workiva.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Banking or financial services industry experience.
