Sr PLC Engineer

Location: On-site in Taicang, Jiangsu, China, five days per week

What you will do

• Discuss equipment control logic requirements with client-side control engineering teams.
• Prepare control logic diagrams for data center cooling equipment.
• Program PLC control logic, primarily for Siemens Smart and S7-1200 PLCs.
• Debug control logic using simulators and manufactured products.
• Conduct the control portion of factory witness tests for data center projects and provide remote or on-site product support.
• Organize standard and customized control logic versions and guide other control engineers.

Requirements

• Strong PLC control programming and debugging skills, preferably in HVAC or data center cooling products.
• Knowledge of data center cooling product sequences of operation and factory witness test procedures.
• Experience with typical PLC controllers; Siemens PLC experience is preferred, while Carel or Schneider PLC experience is also considered.
• Strong understanding of product operation quality and control logic.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.

• Experience with hyperscale high-tech data center projects.
