Senior PLC Engineer (Data Center)

Location: On-site in Taicang, Jiangsu, China, five days per week

What you will do

• Discuss control logic requirements for data center cooling equipment with client control engineering teams.
• Prepare control logic diagrams based on equipment and sequence-of-operation requirements.
• Program PLC control logic, primarily for Siemens Smart and S7-1200 PLCs.
• Debug control logic using simulators and manufactured products.
• Support factory witness tests and provide remote or on-site control logic assistance for data center projects.
• Maintain standard and customized control logic versions and guide other control engineers.

Requirements

• Strong PLC programming and debugging skills, preferably in HVAC or data center cooling products.
• Familiarity with data center cooling products and sequence-of-operation documentation.
• Experience with factory witness test procedures for data center projects.
• Experience with Siemens PLCs is preferred; Carel or Schneider PLC experience is also considered.
• Strong understanding of product operating quality and control logic.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting projects for hyperscale technology companies such as Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Equinix, NTT Docomo, or AirTrunk.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills inside and outside the organization.
