What you will do
- Advise senior management on policy processes, dialogue platforms, and climate change and security activities.
- Monitor policy developments, trends, and emerging issues related to climate change and security.
- Build working relationships with participating States, structures, field operations, international organizations, civil society, and academic institutions.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, budgeting, and reporting of donor-funded projects.
- Organize meetings, workshops, capacity-building, and advocacy activities, including research and preparation of background papers.
- Analyze security risks arising from climate change and their implications for economic and environmental activities.
Requirements
- University degree in political science, economics, climate, environment, international relations, conflict studies, social sciences, or a related field.
- At least seven years of progressively responsible experience, or five years with a relevant second-level degree, in climate security, climate change, conflict prevention, or peacebuilding.
- Experience planning, implementing, and managing donor-funded projects.
- Knowledge of international relations in the context of climate change and strong oral and written English communication skills.
- Gender awareness, cultural sensitivity, impartiality, objectivity, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Digital literacy and proficient use of Microsoft Office and internet tools.
