Director of Government Affairs (National Security)

Location: Hybrid role based in Arlington, Virginia, requiring work from the Arlington office three days per week and meetings with government members in Washington, D.C. up to five days per week.

Salary: $180,700–$225,900 USD annual base salary, with potential short-term and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Execute government affairs strategy with Congress and U.S. national security agencies, including the Department of War, NRO, and NGA.
• Lead national security engagements that shape policy, funding, appropriations, and authorization legislation.
• Communicate hirify.global’s space technology, data, and analytics value proposition to U.S. national security stakeholders.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, government affairs, business development, sales, customer success, and external partners to develop and capture opportunities.
• Build credibility with government stakeholders and identify political and programmatic risks affecting hirify.global’s business.
• Attend conferences, symposia, and meetings with members of Congress, federal agencies, NGOs, technical partners, and government officials.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant experience, including 6 or more years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance at the TS-SCI level.
• Direct and recent experience with U.S. national security policy, Congress, and relevant federal agencies.
• Experience with lobbying or industry association advocacy.
• Strong project, time, and budget management, communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work from the Arlington office and meet with government members in Washington, D.C. up to five days per week.

• Recent experience with space, data, or national security technology policy.
• Experience working successfully in both private- and public-sector environments.
• Experience drafting position papers.
• Experience forming partnerships in the space and defense industries.
