Advanced Workflow Specialist (Electron Microscopy Sample Preparation)

Location: Remote in Austria, with regular travel across the EMEA region; travel up to 40–50% including overnight stays.

Minimum gross annual salary: €75,000 for full-time employment; actual remuneration may be higher depending on qualifications and professional experience.

What you will do

• Deliver pre-sales and post-sales application support through on-site and virtual demonstrations, customer training, and workflow optimization.
• Plan and support customer workshops, seminars, and advanced application sessions focused on electron microscopy sample preparation.
• Contribute scientific content to webinars, conferences, workshops, and promotional materials.
• Develop application data, success stories, and reference workflows for the commercial organization.
• Document customer activities, demonstrations, and training accurately and promptly in CRM systems such as SFDC.
• Act as a technical and scientific bridge between customers, Sales, Business Development, Product Management, and R&D.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Life Sciences, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• Hands-on experience with electron microscopy sample preparation techniques, including examples such as cryo-EM workflows, CLEM workflows, ultramicrotomy, coating, or freeze-fracture.
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently across the EMEA region, including travel of up to 40–50% and overnight stays.
• Proficiency in technical and conversational English.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work in laboratory and customer environments and handle standard demonstration equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience with light microscopy workflows.
• Experience in customer-facing roles supporting complex scientific instrumentation or workflows.
• Experience using CRM systems such as SFDC and virtual demonstration tools.
• Experience supporting marketing or scientific communication activities, including webinars, conference presentations, or application notes.
• Additional European languages, particularly German.
