Senior Software Engineer - Partner (Go)

Location: London, United Kingdom; remote-first working model. Working abroad is permitted for up to three weeks, twice every tax year.

What you will do

• Build and evolve platforms supporting the partner journey, including onboarding, lead management, appointment scheduling, and partner business management.
• Design and implement complex technical solutions for scalable, distributed services.
• Own large technical features from design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Own deployments within the team’s Kubernetes namespaces and improve service reliability, observability, resilience, and progressive degradation.
• Provide technical direction, lead complex projects and discovery work, and reduce technical debt and service complexity.
• Mentor engineers through pairing and code reviews while collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers.

Requirements

• Proven fluency with Postgres, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience building distributed systems, including concurrency and event-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of resilience, observability, uptime, SLAs, and progressive degradation.
• Experience delivering end-to-end solutions and working with CI/CD tooling, Terraform, and modern cloud workflows.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with experience mentoring mid-level engineers.
• Hands-on experience with AI development tools and AI-assisted software development.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go.
• Familiarity with database migrations, such as CockroachDB to RDS.
