Senior Software Engineer (Go)

Location: Remote; candidates must reside in Australia or New Zealand

What you will do

• Build high-performance Go APIs, microservices, and CLI tools for internal engineering teams.
• Automate workflows across systems of record, SaaS platforms, and internal infrastructure.
• Develop governance-as-code for repository and service oversight, security, and engineering standards.
• Create self-service interfaces for securely requesting and managing infrastructure resources.
• Deploy, maintain, profile, and optimize backend systems running on Kubernetes/EKS.

Requirements

• Professional backend engineering experience with Go.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience building services on Kubernetes and managing infrastructure on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience with database schema design, query optimization, performance profiling, debugging, Git, GitHub, and CI/CD.
• Experience building internal developer-facing tools or CLI applications, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
