Location: Newcastle–Maitland, New South Wales, Australia; flexible and hybrid working arrangements are available.

hirify.global is expanding its Newcastle office and developing a pipeline of nationally significant projects across water, defence, energy, transport, and infrastructure.

What you will do

• Support the planning, design, and delivery of engineering projects across water, defence, energy, transport, and infrastructure markets.
• Develop engineering designs, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and constructability assessments.
• Provide technical expertise from concept development through detailed design and project delivery.
• Build relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders while contributing to the growth of Newcastle operations.

Requirements

• Degree qualification in environmental, civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or structural engineering, or relevant project/design management qualifications.
• Experience delivering projects in infrastructure, water, defence, transport, or energy.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Chartered status or progress toward professional accreditation is highly regarded.
• Australian citizenship is preferred and required for defence-related work.
