Customer Engineering Manager (Data Centres)

Designs, builds, and operates environmentally efficient data centres supporting local and international customers across Australia and Asia.

What you will do

• Lead technical proposal development for enterprise, hyperscale, and neocloud customer opportunities.
• Conduct facility audits and capacity assessments across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel systems.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants and engineering subject matter experts across architecture, structural, electrical, mechanical, fuel, fire, and security disciplines.
• Manage design development from customer brief through executable contract documentation and design handover.
• Review customer contracts, manage scope changes, provide design cost input, and resolve technical risks.
• Oversee shop drawings and technical submittals while championing safety-in-design and quality control.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data centre or mission-critical design management.
• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with consulting engineers, contractors, or client-side design management.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and consultants.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Aconex, Procore, MS Project, Revit, or Bluebeam.
